AT A GLANCE
A practical checklist for organizing the workbench, reading the manual and preparing a clear support request.
Before you begin: a practical checklist
- Choose a stable, well-lit work surface.
- Make room for the manual and current assembly at the same time.
- Use trays or small containers to separate parts without losing their identifiers.
- Keep packaging and part labels until the build is complete.
- Plan a safe place for an unfinished assembly between sessions.
- Read the supplied safety and operating information.
Keep small parts away from children and pets, and follow the model's official age and supervision guidance. The workspace should suit the kit you have, rather than a generic build photographed online.
Read the instructions before sorting everything
Find the model number, the first assembly stage and the part identifiers used by the manual. Skim the next steps to understand how the first subassembly will connect to later parts. Avoid removing identifiers or combining similar-looking parts before you know how the instructions distinguish them.
Compare the supplied contents with the package information for your kit. Do not assume that tools, fasteners or electrical components from a different TECHING model are interchangeable.
Organize by the current task
Keep the parts needed for the current step within reach and later parts separately stored. A tray with small compartments can help, but keep the manual's numbering or packaging references alongside it. The useful system is the one that lets you identify a specific part again.
Before moving on, check orientation and the relationship between the current pieces. A brief pause is more useful than tightening an uncertain assembly and hoping the next step will resolve it.
If a part does not fit or movement feels wrong
Stop applying force. Return to the relevant manual step and check the part identifier, orientation and order of assembly. Do not file, bend, drill, glue or substitute parts to resolve an uncertain fit unless TECHING's instructions for that model explicitly direct you to do so.
This general preparation guide does not replace the model's operating instructions. It does not provide charging, wiring, lubrication or repair procedures. For those tasks, use the supplied manual or ask support about the exact model.
Prepare a clear support request
If the manual does not answer the question, provide enough detail for TECHING to identify the part and stage:
- Model number: for example, DM118, DM122 or DM119.
- Order information: the reference associated with your purchase.
- Part or step: the identifier and manual page or stage.
- What you observed: a short description of the fit, missing item or unclear instruction.
- A clear photo if useful: show the part and relevant manual reference without exposing payment details.
Use the available contact method for sharing photos. If a form does not accept attachments, follow the contact page's instructions rather than assuming the photo has been sent.
When you put the build away
Record where you stopped, return loose components to labeled containers and keep the manual with the kit. Follow the supplied instructions for power and storage. A clear stopping point makes the next session easier to begin.
